EVENT SUMMARY
If you are a transfer student with an interest in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, telecommunications engineering or software engineering, UTD’s Jonsson School Summit is the place to research your career options in these exciting degree programs.
The Transfer Summit will introduce you to the benefits of earning a technology degree in one of the largest high-tech economies. Here you’ll get a glimpse of UTD’s state-of-the –art curricula and facilities. You’ll learn how you – as a UTD transfer student – can benefit from the academic and professional environment and explore the edges of the world’s advanced technologies.
You will have access to gain real work experience through our Industrial Practice Programs (IPP). Plus you’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions about transfer admission, scholarships, financial aid, housing and any other college-related topics. You’ll have the opportunity to tour the UTD campus and the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering & Computer Science Complex.
Come learn how UTD engineers and computer scientists are constantly changing the world.
If you attend the Summit and your application fee of $50.00 will be waived. Upon acceptance to the university, you will automatically be considered for UTD’s Transfer Academic Excellence Scholarship program as well as the Erik Jonsson Transfer Scholarship.

Receive helpful information and advice about the UTD transfer admission process, scholarships, college costs and much more.

Engineering & Computer Science Session: an overview of the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering & Computer Science undergraduate degree programs, fast-track programs into graduate school, research and academic advising offered by the school, and the new Natural Science & Engineering Research Laboratory.

Faculty Speakers
Local scientists and engineers, who have successfully pioneered high-tech research and innovations, will discuss the latest industry technology and the role you can play in tomorrow’s technology driven world.

Academic Advisor: if you bring a copy of your transcripts our advisors will be able to let you know how your classes would transfer in to UTD.

Industrial Practice Programs (IPP) and student Panel

Wrap-Up
Here’s your chance to ask questions and gather information before heading home. In addition, all participants will have an opportunity to critique the day’s events by filling out an evaluation.

Engineering & Computer Complex Tour
At the end of your day you will get a look at the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering & Computer Science complex. Wireless computer labs and advanced technology communication laboratories, you’ll have plenty of chances to imagine yourself in those scenarios.
