The Jonsson School Forum is the Metroplex's premier showcase for university-based engineering and computer science research.  The Forum is your chance to learn about the latest breakthroughs, to gain new insights, and to meet some of today's best and brightest faculty and student researchers.  Prepare for a glimpse of tomorrow.  It's going to be an interesting world - and very different from the one we know now.

There's a revolution happening in technology.  Look around you and you can see the momentum building.  The future of engineering will be very different. The way we educate engineers and computer scientists is going to change.

There are no models.

Fearless engineering envisions what is not yet invented.  It anticipates what will be and creates the technology and infrastructure to support it.  It leads change.  It leads the revolution in engineering.

Established just twenty years ago, the Jonsson School ranks first in the nation in the granting of bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in computer science, and fourth in the combined number of electrical engineering and computer science degrees awarded.  We also enjoy the support of one of the highest concentrations of high-tech companies in the US, whose participation in our student industrial internship program has made it the largest in the state.

Currently, the Jonsson School is part of an unprecedented $300-million university-industry-state initiative that's taking us to the next level of excellence in research and education.  The program includes a new $85-million research laboratory, funding for over 40 new faculty members, and incentives for attracting more of the best and brightest graduate students from around the state and the nation.

Join us for the 2006 Jonsson School Forum.
